History
The Van Den Bosch Legacy
The John A. Van Den Bosch Company established a tradition of excellence, producing and selling quality feed and grain products since 1932. When the company began it met the needs of its customers by making scratch feed for chickens. Demand for quality feeds fueled the company’s growth and gave rise to the production of other farm animal foods. After World War II, as the number of farms dwindled, the company adapted to the times and diversified, adding wild bird and pet foods to its product offering. Within the past few years, the company has introduced the Magnum Buck line of deer products: scientifically formulated deer feeds, dietary supplements, cover scents, attractants, and hunting accessories.
Since the beginning the members of the Van Den Bosch family have been involved in every level of the company passing on the commitment to quality and honesty from generation to generation. Today, the company is run by third generation family members who face the task of moving the company into the future.
The commitment to excellence and integrity has made them a leader in the production of wild bird feed, big game feed, and pet food products. The company stands as one of the only family-owned wholesale feed businesses in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. A member of the Wild Bird Feeding Institute, they continue to seek the best possible products for their customers.
When asked the secret to the company’s success, many will reply “their honesty, product, and ability to adapt.”
But most like to think of it as just a matter of family pride.
